Location Phuong Dong Hotel Can Tho
Long ago, Can Tho was named Tay Do (the capital city of western provinces). It is 170 km from Ho Chi Minh city, on the right of Hau river. The province is the major source of rice of the western part of the South. The Hau river is considered a benefactor of this region, since yearly floods deposit a rather large quantity of alluvia to rice fields. It is wonderful to go boating along the river banks on the fine weather day. At the east bank of the Hau river there is Ninh Kieu wharf which is well-known for its beautiful location.
